A crowd of 1,000+ supporters gathered Dec. 1 for WWBIC’s annual luncheon on Giving Tuesday in Milwaukee. Jessica Jackley, co-founder of Internet microlending site Kiva was the keynote speaker. Highlights included the Small Biz Marketplace that featured more than 50 local independent businesses. Participants rose to the challenge and fully funded a $3,500 KivaZip microloan for Picasso Automotive from Racine during the program.
