To help address the wealth-building challenges faced by women, professional women’s groups are joining forces to present a webinar, “Women and Investing: Building Confidence for Retirement,” on Sept. 30, from noon to 1 p.m.
The complimentary webinar will be presented by the Wisconsin Women’s Council in partnership with Summit Financial Education for Women, the Wisconsin Women’s Network, and the Wisconsin Women in Government.
The rationale for the program is that women are living longer, which makes retirement planning one of their most important financial tasks.
In the planning process, women face unique challenges such as wage disparities, career interruptions, caregiving responsibilities and lower lifetime Social Security benefits — all of which make building a nest egg more challenging.
The webinar will feature Jody Brown, vice president of wealth management with Summit Financial Advisors located at Summit Credit Union.
Brown, a financial adviser, will talk about practical strategies to help women invest with confidence.
Interested investors are invited to register for the event.
