Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce began Monday to accept nominations for the 11th annual “Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin” contest, a competition that highlights products made by the state’s $73.8 billion manufacturing sector.
WMC, the combined state chamber and manufacturers’ association, said the contest has engaged thousands of voters from across the state. They have voted on a variety of product submissions, from consumer goods to advanced technologies.
The contest is open to any product that is manufactured in Wisconsin.
“For more than a decade, this contest has helped spotlight the innovation and talent that make Wisconsin a manufacturing powerhouse,” WMC President and CEO Kurt R. Bauer said in a press release.
Manufacturing Madness, a bracket-style tournament, will take place after a popular vote determines the Top 16 products.
The 2026 Coolest Thing will be announced on Oct. 27 at WMC’s Business Day event in Madison.

WMC was the first statewide business organization to launch a “Coolest” contest, and now 26 other states have their own version of the competition.
