Wisconsin’s average SAT score ranked top in the US

New data from Nootroedge analyzed which states have the highest average SAT scores and revealed Wisconsin at the top. The ranking derived the average SAT score by combining scores from all test sections — reading, writing and language, and math — and calculated each state’s average out of a total score of 1,600.

Wisconsin boasted the highest average SAT scores nationwide, scoring 1,252 out of 1,600 and coming in 13% higher than the national average of 1,107.

Wyoming ranked second, with an average SAT score of 1,244, followed by Kansas in third, Utah in fourth, Mississippi in fifth, Minnesota in sixth, and Nebraska in seventh.

The state with the lowest average SAT score was found to be West Virginia, with an average score of 938 out of 1600. Oklahoma came in second-lowest, Idaho in third-lowest, Delaware in fourth-lowest, and Rhode Island in fifth-lowest.
