Agricultural tourism brought over $765 million to Wisconsin’s economy in 2025, according to a study from the Wisconsin Agricultural Tourism Association.
The study looked at 2025 visitor data, sampling 240 agricultural tourism destinations across the state.
These locations drew over 4.3 million visitors.
“For the first time, we have data that directly shows how visitors to Wisconsin’s agricultural destinations boosted rural economies,” Sheila Everhart, WATA executive director, said in a statement. “Agriculture and Tourism are critical to our state’s economy and reputation, and now we have the hard numbers to show just how important agricultural tourism is.”
According to the report, agricultural tourism includes activities such as pumpkin patches, corn mazes, flower farms, orchards, vineyards, Christmas tree farms and agricultural event venues.
The study was funded through a United States Department of Agriculture Specialty Crop Block Grant. WATA used real visitor data and spending habits to come to the total economic effect of the study’s sample destinations.
