A new grant will support efforts to attract specialized talent to technology companies located in Rock County and southcentral Wisconsin.
The talent recruitment grant comes from WEDC and will help the Tech Council support businesses working in batteries, fusion energy, quantum technologies and more.
“South central Wisconsin is seeing tremendous momentum around frontier technologies, and this initiative helps employers compete nationally for the highly specialized workers needed for continued growth,” Maggie Brickerman, president of the Wisconsin Technology Council, said in a statement. “This is an opportunity to strengthen Wisconsin’s innovation economy while helping companies grow and communities thrive.”
The total amount of the grant was not released, though it is part of a larger pool of $5 million going to communities across the state.
