By the end of the second quarter, Wisconsin’s 96 state-chartered credit unions saw their total assets rise to $73.4 billion, according to data released Friday by the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions.
Since the end of 2025, their total assets have grown by $3 billion, the DPI said.
During the same period, lending also picked up as loans outstanding grew by $1.8 billion.
“The financial indicators for Wisconsin’s state-chartered credit unions remain strong through mid-year, as exceptional earnings continue to support a sound capital position,” Troy Kaja, acting director of the DFI Office of Credit Unions, said in a press release.
“Overall, Wisconsin’s state-chartered credit unions continue to be financially stable with positive growth ratios across all key areas, and they continue to provide the financial services needed by their members,” he said.
