The producer price index is up 6.5% from May 2025, climbing at a pace not seen since November 2022, Yahoo! Finance reported.
The cause is the Iran war, which has caused gasoline prices to soar.
Simply put, prices are rising and continuing to do so as the war rages on.
Gasoline prices were up nearly 41% from May 2025 and plane tickets rose nearly 27%.
