Habitat for Humanity of Dane County recently completed an expansion of its Westside ReStore, located at 5906 Odana Road. The store first opened in July 2012 with 8,000 square feet of indoor space and 1,500 square feet of covered outdoor space. The store gained 1,500 square feet of sales floor in 2014 and now five years since opening will transition to an 18,500-square-foot space, complete with an expanded processing area, hold area, fireplace, and carpet flooring to offer upholstered sofas and chairs. The expansion will allow ReStore West additional sales floor space to carry more inventory, and in turn generate more funding for Habitat for Humanity of Dane County to provide affordable, long-term housing solutions. Since ReStore East first opened 16 years ago, ReStore East and West have funded a total of 46 homes in Dane County.
