More housing is coming to Waunakee with the approval of five stacked flat residential buildings set to be constructed as part of the Woodland Crest development, according to the Tribune Enterprise.
The development agreement from Forward Development Group of Verona was unanimously approved by the Waunakee Village Board at its meeting July 20. Forward may now begin acquiring permits for the project.
A total of 50 units will be created along the eastern side of Simon Crestway, north of Peaceful Valley Parkway, with each two-story building housing 10 apiece.
The buildings will offer one- and two-bedroom units, each with a private driveway stall and garage with direct access to the unit.
This marks the second phase of development for Woodland Crest, with the flats set to provide additional multifamily housing as Forward also constructs a 75-unit apartment complex just to the south. It plans to begin leasing units there later this summer.
