Visit Sun Prairie is accepting applications for its 2027 grant and marketing sponsorship programs, offering $50,000 to support events that draw visitors to the community.
The programs advance Visit Sun Prairie’s mission to promote Sun Prairie as a destination.
Funding is available to both nonprofit and for-profit organizations whose events, initiatives or marketing efforts demonstrate the potential to attract visitors.
Organizations may apply for up to $5,000 through each program — grant and marketing — using one combined application.
Applicants that receive funding from both programs may receive up to $10,000 in combined support.
Past grant recipients include Sun Prairie Lions Club and DIII Midwest Bowl Series LLC.
Funding has supported events such as Mural Fest, the Wisconsin State Lions Bowling Tournament and the annual Isthmus Bowl.
Applications for 2027 funding are due Feb. 1, 2027.
“Visit Sun Prairie is proud to invest in events and initiatives that give people a reason to visit, explore and experience our community,” Tiffany Bernhardt Schultz, tourism director for Visit Sun Prairie, said in a press release. “These programs allow us to partner with organizations, event organizers and businesses to create experiences that attract visitors, encourage overnight stays and showcase Sun Prairie as a destination.”
