As part of a settlement agreement, a UW-Madison professor resigned after an investigation determined he violated the university’s policy on consensual relationships, according to a report in the Wisconsin State Journal.

The professor, Dietram Scheufele, was the subject of complaints filed by three female students, including charges of sexual harassment.

Scheufele, who is now with Arizona State University, disputed the findings from the investigation in a written statement to the State Journal, calling them damaging and unsubstantiated.

According to the State Journal article, Scheufele resigned earlier this year, but the resignation was only recently announced. His last official day at UW-Madison was Aug. 15.
