The replacement for University of Wisconsin-Madison’s former Chancellor Jennifer Mnookin might arrive at the end of 2026, the Cap Times reported.
Mnookin left in May to become the president of Colombia University, and UW-Madison Dean of the College of Letters & Science Eric Wilcots is serving as interim chancellor.
The search for a new chancellor began just last week, led by Amy Bogost, who also leads the UW system’s Board of Regents.
The UW system is also searching for a replacement for former president Jay Rothman who was fired in April.
Virtual listening sessions will be held on June 15 and 22 for campus and community members to provide input on what they’d like from the next chancellor.
