The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay will be the first in the public university system to offer students a reduced-credit degree when it launches in the fall, Wisconsin Public Radio reported.
The computer science program will offer a 100-credit bachelor’s degree that can be completed in about three-and-a-half years.
A traditional degree is 120 credits and takes about four years.
Computer science, which can still be taken via the traditional 120-credit path, was chosen since the field is a popular one in the workforce.
