President Donald Trump said on social media Thursday he would attack Iran “VERY HARD TONIGHT” to “assume total control” of the country’s oil and gas industries, the Associated Press reported.
He said he would do it in the “not too distant future.”
Thursday marks the second day of the U.S. and Iran exchanging attacks after the latest ceasefire.
The war has been ongoing since the end of February.
It has affected gasoline prices, fertilizer prices, food, airfare and more.
Ceasefires have been issued and ignored, and the Strait of Hormuz, an important trade route, has been open and closed repeatedly during the war.
