Imports from Brazil may face a 25% tariff, the Associated Press reported

President Donald Trump’s administration called trade with Brazil a “burden” to U.S. commerce.

The announcement was made late on Monday, with Brazil President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva saying he took the decision by the U.S. with “indignation.”

Lula also said on Tuesday that he spoke with Marco Rubio, who he deemed “anti-Latin American.”

“He is a deadly enemy of Cuba, a deadly enemy of many Latin American countries. I already told Trump that (Rubio) does not like Brazil.”
