Three finalists have been named in the Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream’s annual Create a Flavor Contest, in which ice cream fans submitted their most creative ideas for new flavors.
More than 2,000 ideas were submitted and students in the TEENworks youth culinary program at the Goodman Community Center helped narrow it down to three finalists:
- Sweet Dreams are Made of Cheesecake — Cheesecake ice cream with chocolate-covered pretzel pieces, cheesecake chunks and salted caramel swirl;
- Rock’n Raspberry — Sour blue raspberry with popping candy; and
- Hazelnut Tiramisu — Hazelnut ice cream with coffee swirl, chocolate swirl and pound cake pieces.
The ultimate winner is now in the voters’ hands.
Voting is open through Oct. 18 and anyone can cast their vote online or at any Madison-area Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream shop.
The flavor with the most votes will be announced on Oct. 23.
The winning flavor will be released as a single-batch flavor in 2027, and a portion of the sales will benefit the TEENworks program.
