TDS bringing all-fiber internet to more Central Wisconsin communities

TDS Telecommunications LLC of Madison will expand its high-speed, all-fiber internet network in Central Wisconsin, with service coming to a handful of communities.

TDS will expand fiber access to Ripon, Beaver Dam, Waupun, Lomira, Theresa, Horicon, Brownsville, Juneau and Iron Ridge, serving more than 29,000 homes and businesses.

Construction to allow fiber access is expected to begin later this year.

The TDS fiber network includes speeds up to 8 Gigabit.

“We’re pleased to bring high-speed broadband and state-of-the-art telecommunications services to more communities in our home state,” TDS Telecom Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs Drew Petersen said in a statement. “TDS’s network will be a huge benefit for residents and local businesses, bringing faster connections and positioning the region for future growth. We look forward to beginning construction and serving the area for many years to come.”
