Sun Prairie’s city pool is ready to reopen after $7.1 million in renovations.
The Sun Prairie Family Aquatic Center will re-dedicate its city pool this week after closing last year to make way for $7.1 million in renovations.
“This is an exciting milestone for our community,” Chad Shelton, recreation director for the City of Sun Prairie, said in a statement. “This project is so much more than a pool renovation. It represents an investment in our community and creates a place where families will gather, children will learn to swim, friends will spend summer afternoons together, and lifelong memories will be made for years to come.”
The center, at 920 Linnerud Drive, will have a soft opening on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. It will officially open on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
There is a new aquatic play structure, family-friendly slide, aqua climbing wall, zipline and more.
