The state of Wisconsin will provide grant funding to 42 locations to build electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.
The announcement was made Tuesday by Gov. Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
Funding comes from $25 million in allocations secured through the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program, which was created by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law passed during the Biden administration.
The 42 sites were chosen for a variety of factors, including the potential for future development, and will be built on U.S. and state highway corridors that were not previously considered for funding.
