SSM Health Thursday dedicated its newest outpatient center on Verona’s south side.
The center, located at 960 Valley Drive, near the intersection of Highways 151 and 69, was dedicated with a celebratory ribbon-cutting ceremony and preview tours of its 40,000 square feet of space.
When it officially opens to the public on Sept. 14, the center will offer more convenient primary and specialty care and onsite lab and imaging services to people in southern Dane County.
During the dedication, Verona Mayor Luke Diaz said the center could lead to additional economic growth in the area.
“We welcome this wonderful addition to Verona,” Diaz said in a press release. “Not only will this new SSM Health medical facility serve the health needs of our community, but it has opened up services and access to Verona’s southside to inspire new growth opportunities that will bring new jobs and businesses to further serve the people of Verona and our surrounding communities.”
To develop the facility, which was designed with sustainable, energy efficient elements, SSM Health partnered with the architectural firm Kahler Slater and general contractor JP Cullen.
