According to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, some Medicaid members receiving benefits from the state’s Supplemental Security Income program had letters with personal and private information sent to outdated addresses.
This happened on April 30, and DHS identified those affected and stopped future mailings to old addresses.
On June 30, notifications were sent to 8,157 Supplemental Security Income members whose information may have been accessed by unauthorized individuals. DHS has offered those affected free credit monitoring for one year and access to a dedicated call center for related questions.
