The Strait of Hormuz is once again open after the U.S. and Iran signed an interim agreement to end the war, the Associated Press reported.
It marks the first time in 110 days, or since late February, that ships from major shipping companies have been able to move through the strait.
Closing and reducing marine traffic in the strait has caused the price of oil and gas to skyrocket, and many other goods like food.
So far, ships from Grimaldi Group, Cosco, Knutsen and NYK have passed through the strait. Iran has also been able to successfully move ships through the strait.
