Schools of Hope, a community tutoring and academic support initiative, is looking for volunteer tutors to support middle school students in literacy and math, according to the Urban League of Greater Madison.
Tutors are asked to commit 1–2 hours a week. They work directly with students to strengthen academic skills and build confidence for success in high school and beyond.
There are openings at 11 Madison area middle schools, with a variety of times available to accommodate a tutors’ schedule.
No prior tutoring experience is required, and the Urban League provides training and ongoing support.
For more information, call the Urban League at (608) 729-1200. Volunteers can apply to be a tutor online.
