The Sauk Prairie Area Food Pantry has bought a building to support its work after 43 years with no permanent home.
The new facility will allow for more food storage, more volunteers and a space to work. The pantry also expects to expand programs and services.
“While purchasing the building was a huge accomplishment, our work is far from over,” the food pantry said on social media. “We are now raising funds to help pay for the building, necessary renovations, equipment and improvements that will transform this space into a warm, welcoming and efficient food pantry.”
The location of the new building is 1111 Sycamore St., Sauk City.
