Safe Harbor Rent Event

In its 16th year, Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center’s “Rent Event” brought out local professionals and members of the community to support the nonprofit’s mission of helping reduce the trauma to young victims of abuse. Held this year at Union South on the UW-Madison campus on Nov. 16, the event raised funds to help pay Safe Harbor’s annual rent and keep its doors open for kids. In 2018, Safe Harbor will become the first child advocacy center in Wisconsin to acquire a facility dog to accompany children during forensic interviews and at court, reducing anxiety and increasing a sense of security and safety.
