To help keep the blood supply stable this fall, the American Red Cross will partner with the University of Wisconsin-Madison on a Homecoming Blood Drive from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 at the Nicholas Recreation Center, 797 W. Dayton St.
The drive will take place each day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the Red Cross hopes to collect blood from donors of all types.
Blood donations to the Red Cross help ensure new parents, premature babies, cancer patients and accident victims have access to safe, lifesaving blood, especially during the forthcoming holiday season.
Donors will be thanked with a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of their choice.
Walk-ins are welcome but interested donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment.
