The companies, people and issues shaping business in Madison and the Capital Region.

More than 370 attendees, 15 adult model teams, and three teams of children struck a pose for literacy and walked the runway in their paper attire Feb. 8 at Read(y) to Wear, a paper fashion fundraiser for Madison Reading Project held at the Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club. The 2020 show was a smashing success, with volunteers helping to make this large production succeed along with sponsors, attendees, and the professional hair and makeup artists that helped make the event and models a hit. The event raised $37,000 to fund literacy programming and provide books for Madison Reading Project and children in greater Dane County. The nonprofit’s goal is to provide 60,000 books this year.
