Communities affected by the July 27 tornado and storms will be the beneficiaries of a Rally for the Valley fundraising event on Oct. 3 in downtown Menasha.

The event, which will be held from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., will feature music, comedy, storytelling and giving to support the Fox Cities as recovery from these damaging storms continues.

Local businesses, artists and makers, nonprofits and food vendors will be part of the day’s festivities as well. They can apply to participate as event vendors.

Rally for the Valley will connect people in need with three organizations working on different parts of the recovery, including the emergency financial assistance of Leaven, the home-repair services of Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity, and the housing and sheltering help provided by Pillars.

Donors can learn about each organization and give directly to one or more.

Community members can also volunteer at Rally for the Valley.

Organizers encourage an advance RSVP to help plan the event.
