The Promega Fall Art Showcase features paintings and sculptures by Mona Boulware Webb, also known as the “Queen of Willy Street,” a major contributor and influencer to the Madison art scene in the 1960s and ’70s. VSA (Very Special Arts) Wisconsin’s Traveling Exhibition will also be featured, consisting of 30 pieces of award-winning artwork by Wisconsin artists with disabilities from youth to adults. This exhibition offers a unique glimpse of the often under-recognized creative talents of people with disabilities and also showcases the impact all artists have in our community. Artists shared stories of their creative process and the inspiration behind their work during the opening symposium and reception, featuring music by Hanah Jon Taylor, at the Promega BioPharmaceutical Technology Center, 5445 E Cheryl Pkwy. in Fitchburg. The Fall Art Showcase runs through Dec. 28, 2018. The exhibit is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. More information is available at promega-artshow.com.
