Pooch party

The new EarthWise Pet Supply store celebrated its grand opening with a pet party on Oct. 7. The event included a visit by Madison Police Department Patrol Officer Carren Corcoran and K9 Slim, supported by Capital K9s, as well as three guide dogs from OccuPaws Guide Dog Association (Parker, Nellie, and Wonder) and three rescue dogs from Fetch Wisconsin Rescue (Charlie, Molly, and Sierra). A portion of the proceeds from the event were donated to the charity groups that participated including Capital K9s, Fetch, OccuPaws, and Golden Rule Rescue and Rehabilitation. An estimated 620 people and many dogs attended the event and enjoyed cookies, hot apple cider, giveaways, games, and prizes. Vendors including Contented Creatures, Dogs Best Friend Training, ProxiPet, NutriSource, and Pets Global also participated.
