The Green Bay Packers Foundation gave $1.64 million in impact grants to five nonprofit organizations in Green Bay, and also awarded four in the Milwaukee area, the Green Bay Press-Gazette reported.
Grants in Green Bay were made to the Brain Center of Green Bay, Ecumenical Partnership for Housing Inc., Foundations Health and Wholeness, Howe Community Resource Center and Wisconsin Humane Society-Green Bay Campus.
As for Milwaukee, grants were given to the Historic Haymarket Milwaukee (Milwaukee Public Museum), HOPE Network for Single Mothers, Menomonee Falls; Independence First, Milwaukee and the Sojourner Family Peace Center, Milwaukee.
The foundation has awarded $13.5 million in impact grants since it began in 2013. Each grant is a matching grant.
