Local franchise owner Monica Daniel opened Madison’s newest stand-alone Chick-fil-A restaurant at 4212 E. Washington Ave., across from East Towne Mall, on Sept. 22, bringing 80 new jobs, a chance for 100 adults to win free Chick-fil-A meals for a year, and the opportunity for the community to donate children’s books to the Sandburg Elementary School. Eager chicken lovers began lining up a day early and passed the time relaxing, playing games, working on projects, and even home schooling children.
