Due to renewed attacks in the Middle East, oil prices are once again climbing, the Associated Press reported.

While prices have hovered around $70 per barrel of oil, they rose to just over $78 on Monday. The U.S.and Iran both said the Strait of Hormuz, of which one-fifth of the world’s oil travels through, was under each country’s control.

During some points of the conflict, which began at the end of April, prices of oil per barrel have reached over $100.

Both countries have gone back and forth on whether there will be peace.
