Nonprofits earn $72,000 from First Business golf invitational

Local business leaders raised $72,000 for nonprofits they played for during the Sept. 9 South Central Wisconsin Charity Golf Invitational by First Business Bank.

During the event, held at Nakoma Golf Club, business executives competed in two-person teams on behalf of charities of their choice.

Winning golfers and charities include:

  • First Place – $40,000 won on behalf of Goodman Community Center by Chris Ehlers and Adam Nonn.
  • Second Place – $15,000 won on behalf of WMC Foundation by Wade Goodsell and Coleman Peiffer.
  • Third Place – $10,000 won on behalf of WayForward Resources by Jacob Klein and Aaron Kostichka.
  • Fourth Place – $5,000 won on behalf of Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin by Stefan Swartzmiller and Jeff Lenz.
  • Low Gross Award – $2,000 won on behalf of Three Gaits by Jim Ring and Joe Ring.

    Over the past 16 years, the event has raised $1.1 million for nonprofit organizations in South Central and Southeast Wisconsin.
