Young and old space lovers alike ignored light rain and overcast skies the evening of Friday, April 28 to get their fix of the moon and other celestial objects at Moon Over Monona Terrace. A variety of large, powerful telescopes provided by the Madison Astronomical Society were on hand to star gaze if the clouds parted, and NASA unveiled a moon rock from the Apollo 15 mission for public viewing, along with meteorite samples. Other activities included short, kid-friendly presentations about the moon, plus a kids’ fun zone with educational games and prizes.
