The Madison Metropolitan School District will provide free meals to children throughout the summer.

The meals are provided through the Summer Food Service Program.

The service begins June 22. Children 18 and younger can receive meals on Monday through Friday at MMSD school sites and community locations. No application or registration is needed.

“Summer meals help ensure students continue to have reliable access to nutritious food even when school is not in session,” Josh Perkins, director of food and nutrition for MMSD, said in a statement. “We want families to know these meals are available, accessible and free for all children 18 and younger.”
