If you’ve ever meandered through downtown Milwaukee, especially Wisconsin Avenue, you probably have seen a big blue office tower that stands out from the rest.

The 14-story building, at 310 W. Wisconsin Ave., has been underused for some time, and now the city of Milwaukee plans to help finance its transformation into an apartment building with 220 units.

Those redevelopment plans — a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments — have received initial approval, according to an article in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Households earning between 70% and 90% of the area median income would have access to 50 studio and one-bedroom units.
