While the finishing touches are placed on its new concourse and international terminal, Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport already ranks among North America’s top five medium-sized airports by the consumer analytics company J.D. Power, according to a report in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
In J.D. Power’s 2026 North American Airport Satisfaction Survey, which included nearly 25,000 passengers, Mitchell ranked fourth of 14 medium-sized North American airports.
The survey rates airports in several categories, including ease of navigation, terminal facilities, check-in and departure experience and food and retail options.
An even higher ranking could be on the horizon following the completion of a $95 million project that will add a new concourse and international terminal. The project broke ground in 2025 and should be completed in 2027.
