Midsummer’s Eve Soiree

About 200 guests, sponsors, donors, chefs, and volunteers enjoyed the outdoor garden magic of the Midsummer’s Eve Soirée, a first-of-its-kind fundraiser for Independent Living Inc. Hosted at Vignette Dining Club, there was a bit of a “Shakespeare has cocktails with the gods” theme with a magic potion signature drink and feasting table with mouthwatering hors d’oeuvres and delectable desserts. Musicians, a magician, and Shakespearean actors entertained guests, who also enjoyed wine tasting and a wine bottle ring toss. Themed and decorated dining tables were named for Bacchus, Titania-Queen of the Fairies, Foster-Forest Guardian, Peaseblossom Fairy, and others. A luxury raffle — with prizes including original art, jewelry, cigar-and-bourbon package, and a Florida getaway — resulted in additional support for Independent Living Inc.’s mission. Independent Living Inc. is a local nonprofit that serves seniors and adults with disabilities in the Greater Madison area.
