Mead & Hunt, a national, full-service engineering, architectural, planning and construction services firm, announced the launch of the Mead & Hunt Foundation, a public 501(c)(3) organization, on Wednesday.

The nonprofit will invest in communities where the firm’s employees live and work by awarding grants to nonprofits that educate future science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) leaders, promote environmental stewardship and address basic human needs.

Mead & Hunt’s Wisconsin locations include Middleton, Milwaukee, De Pere, La Crosse and Eau Claire.

The foundation was first envisioned by Mead & Hunt Board Chair and former CEO Andy Platz.

“Mead & Hunt has had a robust giving program that our employees enjoy, and a history of taking care of communities as part of our values,” Platz said in a statement. “Establishing the Foundation seemed like a natural extension of our commitment.”

The Mead & Hunt Foundation is now accepting grant applications for the 2026 cycle.
