Madison Public Library Fundraisers and Book Festival

On June 2, the Madison Public Library Foundation hosted two fundraisers, Lunch for Libraries: Relish With Ruth and Meet the Make-Hers, a cocktail party celebrating local women in the culinary arts, at Central Library. More than 200 guests attended the luncheon and more than 150 attended the cocktail reception. Acclaimed food critic and author Ruth Reichl headlined both events, plus a free Wisconsin Book Festival talk later in the evening. Guests enjoyed lunch by Fox Heritage Farms, and cocktail party attendees were treated to savory and sweet culinary creations and cocktails by local female-run businesses. Proceeds from the fundraisers will go toward the Book Festival. (All photos by Shanna Wolf of S.
