A total of $107,000 has been awarded to 65 organizations and individuals for art projects through an annual arts grants program.
The program is run by the Madison Arts Commission to support “projects that enrich the cultural landscape of Madison,” a statement said.
Part of the grant award money comes from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the state of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
A total of 76 applicants applied during the 2026-2027 grant cycle, with requests totaling $214,127.80.
Grants were awarded in numerous categories including dance, poetry, film and more. A full list of grants awarded can be found online.
