READ(y) to Wear is a paper-inspired benefit hosted by Madison Reading Project. The goal of the event is to raise awareness and funds for the nonprofit, which provides literacy programs and books for underserved children in South Central Wisconsin. This year’s show was held at the Madison Concourse Hotel with 13 teams participating. Each team showcased its creative designs in front of 225 attendees. A panel of six judges decided the category winners and the audience decided which team would win the title of 2019 READ(y) to Wear Design. Corporate team Widen won the top billing with its entry, “Lady Montag,” based on the book, Fahrenheit 451. Find out more at madisonreadingproject.com.
