Madison philanthropist W. Jerome Frautschi is pledging $10 million to the Wisconsin Veterans Museum Foundation to help the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs and Veterans Museum build a new museum in downtown Madison, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal.

The existing Wisconsin Veterans Museum at 30 W. Mifflin Street opened in 1993 but has little room for expansion. The project is expected to cost about $120 million, and the Wisconsin Veterans Museum Foundation is looking to raise $40 million in private contributions.
