From the pages of In Business magazine.
I am thrilled to announce a couple of exciting new changes that you will most certainly notice throughout our family of products. Let me start by welcoming our new creative director, Ellen Cameron. Ellen has spent the past ten years leading the art/design department for Credit Union Executives Society (CUES), and before that she was a graphic designer at a Madison advertising agency. She is no stranger to the local business community and brings to our team a wealth of publication and design experience.
With the monthly magazine, the countless web projects, the 20-plus annual events we host, and a myriad of advertising and marketing projects, there is no shortage of creative work. Therefore it’s vital to have someone in this role who can coordinate various creative elements, produce high-quality work, and consistently carry the IB brand throughout our products. We’ve been fortunate to have a very talented individual in this position over the past five years, and there is no doubt that Ellen will carry on this standard of excellence while implementing her own ideas.
The second announcement pertains to a new voice in our stable of online bloggers. That new voice belongs to Deborah Biddle, a career transition consultant, leadership development coach, and diversity/inclusion consultant and speaker. Her blog is titled “Mosaic Marketplace,” and she’ll focus primarily on multicultural challenges facing our business community. This is an incredibly important topic, and we encourage you to sample her blogs at IBMadison.com/Blogger/Mosaic-Marketplace. Executive of the Year awards approaching
Time is running out to reserve your tickets for our 4th annual Executive of the Year awards program on Wednesday, Feb. 15, in the Capitol Theater at the Overture Center. We’ll honor another group of remarkable executives for their leadership, innovation, and company success. You can read all about the honorees starting on page 24 of this issue. We’ve been fortunate to have some phenomenal groups of executives in the first three years of this program, and this year’s group doesn’t take a back seat to any of them. Come celebrate with us as we honor these seven executives and their accomplishments on Feb. 15. Tickets for the event are available online at IBMadison.com/executiveoftheyear, but you must reserve them by Feb. 8.
