Wisconsin officials and Hewlett Packard Enterprise announced Thursday that HPE plans to invest $75 million over the next five years to expand its Chippewa Falls operations.
The expansion will create 75 new high-skill jobs and support growing demand for artificial intelligence and other high-performance computing needs.
It will expand HPE’s testing, warehousing and manufacturing capabilities in Chippewa Falls, where it already employs nearly 500 people.
As part of the project’s financing, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. will authorize up to $5.1 million in performance-based Enterprise Zone tax credits.
The state said this commitment builds on a previous $8 million enterprise zone agreement with HPE, which was announced in 2021.
