The companies, people and issues shaping business in Madison and the Capital Region.

Madison Reading Project celebrated its community during November with more than 70 volunteers, teachers, social workers, board members, supporters, and donors gathered at Yahara Bay Distillery’s new location. Guests included Miss Wisconsin, Courtney Pelot, whose platform is childhood literacy.

The nonprofit was able to thank the many people who help during the year through volunteer hours, guidance, financial donations, and kindness. Madison Reading Project set a goal of providing 5,000 books this year to vulnerable kids and families in southwest Wisconsin, a total that will be doubled to 10,000 books by the end of the December! Next year’s goal is 25,000 books.

Sponsors of the event were Alphagraphics Madison, Cinnaire, Craig’s Cake Shop, Edgewood College of Business, Eldorado Grill, Prosthodontics of Madison, Yahara Bay Distillers, and ZenDesk.
