Galway Companies said Thursday it has begun construction on the Greenline, a 357-unit luxury apartment home community in Monona.
The Greenline community, which will also have approximately 16,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, is the largest project in company history and in the city of Monona’s history.
Located at 1709 W. Broadway, it will incorporate a central park, a year-round public gathering place for farmers’ markets, outdoor concerts and movie nights.
The complex will be built with approximately 32,500 tons of concrete and asphalt salvaged and reused on site, the company said.
The current construction timetable calls for the Greenline to be completed in spring 2028.
