Foxconn Technology Group said Monday it plans to alter its Mount Pleasant facility and add up to 700 jobs to meet strong demand for artificial intelligence, according to a report in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
If the plans are approved by the village of Mount Pleasant, the jobs would be added to Foxconn’s existing Wisconsin workforce, which is now about 1,100 employees, by mid-2027.
The facility, located at 12001 Braun Road, would be modified with 26 new docks, a new transformer and a generator.
Last year, the state of Wisconsin announced it would provide $16 million in grants to the Taiwan-based company if it added more than 1,300 jobs a year for the next four years at its Wisconsin facility.
